If you want your money that you worked for, or received from the diaspora, you have to que. If you want to register at all state universities, you have to que, if you want a passport, or to replace your lost identity documents, you have to que as well. Do I have to mention that you also have to que for transport, that is subsidized but as unreliable as monsoon rains in the Sahara? All these are symptoms of a state. Symptoms that clearly, without doubt indicate that Zanu pf which is illegitimate, corrupt, failed and clueless, in addition to being parasitic is responsible, given its obsession with its futile one party state aspirations, and thus its means to the futile ends, illegitimate power retention whose utility is the preservation of the status quo, crucial for looting and plundering.

The symptoms demonstrate convincingly that not only is the scrounging and failed, criminal and corrupt Zanu pf responsible for the dominant state paralysis, which can only be salvaged with the departure of the country from the Zanu pf preferred political system, transitioning into a fully mature liberal and constitutional democracy, but is also responsible for the mutilation of the supreme law of the land. This mutilation of the supreme law of the land, not only would allow the parasitic and failed Zanu pf to retain power unconstitutionally, exile accountability and transparency but most critically to be dismissive of devolution.

Devolution which is only a reality if and only when the vibrant, resilient and innovative opposition transitions into power would among other consequences, place governance in the hands of the people so that only they, arbitrate their own affairs, at the local level. Had the provisions on devolution warranted for by the supreme law of the land had been realized, there would be no instances of whole communities’ displacements to pave way for Chinese predatory natural resources extraction, and human resources exploitation. Government services such as Registrar services, state education institutions of higher learning would all have been decentralized, even banking, given that the communities would be sole custodians of their own natural resources they are endowed with.

However, all of this would remain a pipe dream, should the corrupt Zanu pf remain in power illegitimately, aided by the partisan, politicized and unprofessional police force which is in urgent need of being reformed into a police service, which serves and protects the people from preying by terrorist organizations such as the failED Zanu pf, the rag tag, excuse of an army, which really is Zanu pf militia, and the captured, courts which have been wielded as a very blunt instrument of oppression, through legitimizing, endorsing the parasitic Zanu pf, lawfare, in addition to being sympathetic to the futile aspirations of a one party state by Zanu pf.
